We have a lot of programs that are coming out or that recently started, such as Badminton, Floor hockey, and Swimming. For people who need help with math there is a program that runs on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school that helps improve your math. If your interested in music at lunch in the cafeteria Mr. Halls has set up a drumming group, where you can join or just sit in and enjoy the sound. If you just want to have some fun on Mondays and Fridays after school there is a sports club in the gym where you can go play and improve your skills. As the year goes on students of Emery simply have to listen to the announcements for current updates of what is happening around the school.

The students of Emery are encouraged to become a member in our clubs. There are many clubs (for example chess club, math club, environmental club etc). Throughout out the whole year there are different clubs going on.

We have some very interesting clubs at this school. Here are some of them:

Environmental Club: This club is about discussing how we can have a clean school, you discuss recycling, and there is also a clean up contest that the whole is encouraged to join.

DECA Club: In this club, you will learn more about the business world and also develop skills necessary in succeeding in today's hard market place.

Chess Club: This club gives you the opportunity to challenge other students in your free time at lunch or after school.

Math Club: This club is for hard working people who have a passion for math and want a challenge

If you’re not interested in joining a club why not join a committee? There is prom committee, multicultural committee etc. Here is info on some of our committees:

O.S.A.I.D: The name of this club stands for Ontario Students Against Impaired Driving. This club brings awareness to the students about alcohol abuse and the dangers of drinking and driving.

Prom Committee: In the Prom Committee, members meet and plan the annual prom. The also have a fundraiser to raise money so the tickets will be cheaper.

Multicultural Committee: The Multicultural Committee provides a cultural diversity week. Everyone is encouraged to wear his or her traditional clothes and there is usually a show.

If you’re not interested in organizing events, you could still maybe try joining a council. There are many councils like Athletic council, student council etc. Here is some info on them.

Athletic Council: These people are responsible for organizing the sports, they also set up the athletic banquet.

Student Council: To enter this council is different than most. Members are elected at the end of each school year. Their task is to organize fun activities and help the students be in a safe and fun learning environment. They also set up a food bank

FIRST Robotic Team: These people have to design and construct a robot for a contest at the end of the year.

If you like to play sports Emery has a wide variety of sports teams that you can join. There is soccer, football, swimming, etc. Here are the various seasons and which teams they have for them.
